Focus on Nutrition
We believe that proper nutrition is key to excellent health. Thus, information on diet and lifestyle is a top priority when working with clients. We believe there is no one healthy diet that is right for everyone. Every body is different and every person has different needs and health histories. This means we tailor our services to you as an individual. |
 |
Focus on Vitality
In traditional Chinese medicinal theory, everyone starts out with a bank of innate vitality. Over time our vitality can become depleted. Naturopathy focuses on acquiring the raw materials for vitality for optimal health. These include clean water, nutritious food, fresh air, exercise, rest, sunlight, companionship, personal growth and spiritual growth. |
 |
Focus on Education
Educating people about healthy ways of living is a priority for us. We offer workshops, lectures, and presentations regularly on a variety of natural health topics. We are also available to speak to groups and businesses. We also offer training in all levels of Reiki throughout the year. |
 |
Pulse assessment
Your first naturopathic appointment will include a non-invasive assessment. One tool used in this assessment is listening to the pulse. This is not just counting beats, but paying attention to where the pulse is located, the quality of the pulse, and other factors. It is used to assess your constitution as well as to assess which organs may be stressed. |
 |
Tongue Assessment
The practitioner also studies the tongue. The color, feature, and other aspects of the tongue can provide you and your practitioner with a wealth of information about your health and the health of your organs. |
 |
Nail Assessment
The nails also provide information about your constitution, your lungs, heart, bones, and other aspects of physical wellness. |
 |
Testing pH levels
Acid/Alkaline balance is believed to be vital for both disease prevention and management. Therefore, it is helpful to have an idea of the pH in the body. In your first appointment we will test the pH of your saliva and provide you with information, if needed, on improving your pH score through nutrition. |

Iridology
The eyes are not only the windows to the soul but to the body, as well. The eyes are an extension of the forebrain and are connected to the central nervous system via the optic nerve. By studying the iris of the eye, one can gain valuable insight into a person's genetic tendencies and predispositions. |
 |
Reiki
Reiki is a form of energywork that is used in hospitals and medical settings for pain management and easing the transition from life to death in terminally ill patients. However, in private practices, it is used for a variety of health challenges, especially where a mental, emotional, or spiritual aspect may play a part. |
 |
Reflexology
Reflexology addresses health challenges through reflex points, usually on the bottoms of the feet, that correspond to organs in the rest of the body. Tender spots are believed to be crystalline deposits in the vessels feeding the nerves. As these are broken up, the nerves once again are able to receive what they need to function properly. |
 |
Acupressure
Acupressure is a form of energywork that follows the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Pressure, warmth, and other methods are used to open these channels and assist in the proper movement of energy along them for health. |
